Education + Healthcare

New and existing projects, often addressing not only the immediate facility but also the connectivity between multi-structure campuses, require an understanding beyond the immediate site boundaries. Education and healthcare projects often have extended boundaries. Developing or responding to a master plan approach serves to enhance the user experience, consolidate sustainability costs, and reduce long term maintenance. Our initial step involves understanding the possibilities and opportunities that foster program development, leading to creative design solutions and phased implementation often driven by budget constraints. Answering the question: How do we get the value for the client and manage the costs?

Key project elements often focus on project entries- major and minor, pedestrian circulation and landscape, open space with amenities, and a hierarchy of public and private areas, patios, and courtyards. Streetscapes and parkways visually create a unifying theme tying together a variety of building facades. We create sustainable, LEED certified projects, as we combine layers of plant materials that provide seasonal color, sun/shade relief, pedestrian/site furnishings and smell.
