LCI was a proud sponsor of the I-15 Express Lanes Project groundbreaking event held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) and its project partners, Caltrans and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are investing $471 million to improve Interstate 15 (I-15) between Cajalco Road and State Route 60 (SR-60). The project will add two tolled express lanes in each direction on I-15 between Cajalco Road and the I-15/SR-60 interchange, a distance of approximately 15 miles. The project includes bridge widenings and additional soundwalls. A highlight of this project is that drivers will be able to access and exit the tolled lanes at multiple locations throughout the project corridor.

The Design-Build contract was awarded in April 2017 and construction begins in 2018. The Express Lanes are expected to be open to cars in mid-2020. LCI is pleased to be providing landscape architectural design services for the design team as required in the corridor.
